According to a new report by Infogroup, over the next five years the number of retailers using mobile checkout systems will triple.
Of the 100 retailers surveyed, around 26 per cent are currently using mobile point-of-sale (mPOS) systems and over half stated plans to deploy the technology by 2018.

Don Patrick, Infogroup’s targeting solutions president said: “The adoption of mobile POS is a great way to capture valuable customer information, but our survey revealed that retailers struggle with using the data that they already have. Retailers must also invest in analytics to maximize ROI [return on investment] and improve the customer experience.”
